Mae Goes Home and The Boys are Back

Mae has gone home. Yay!
Mae went home to her new adoptive family this afternoon and in her place, Jack and Victor have returned.  The boys have grown and look so handsome!

Recently, brother cats Jack and Victor were adopted together to a family who sadly have just lost a primary job and their house and must now relocate. Despite being much loved in that family, which included two children who doted on them, Jack and Victor have been returned to the Humane Society and are now looking for a new loving home.

Jack (left) and Victor are looking for new homes.
We were relieved though when we opened up the door to the big dorm at PetSmart and the boys just jumped right in like they knew the ropes already. They are two of the most agreeable and easy-going cats we have ever known, and both affectionate and cuddly.

If you are interested in opening your home and your heart to Jack and/or Victor, please stop by PetSmart, near Target in University Commons in Burlington for a visit. Fill out an adoption form available there and you will be on your way to a new loving and lasting relationship. All HSAC cats have received the very best of veterinary care. Adults are spayed or neutered and kittens receive a free spay or neuter through HSAC at 6 months of age. The adoption fee is $85 for an individual cat or $150 for two.

The Humane Society of Alamance County is a local and independent charity that relies 100% on local support to fulfill its mission. We have no connection to the city shelter. We provide high quality low-cost spays and neuters, which can include important vaccines at no additional cost, through the noble efforts of our many local veterinary partners. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for your interest in the welfare and happiness of animals in our community and for your support of the Humane Society of Alamance County. Visit Our Six Adoptable Cuties

Visit our cat adoption center at PetSmart near Target in Burlington to see six adorable and adoptable cats: Sarah, Shadow, Peekaboo, Mae, Tom and Claudia! Our adults, Sarah, Shadow and Peekaboo are all spayed or neutered, front-declawed owner-surrenders due to household changes who are already well-adjusted to a stable home life, but now need to find new loving permanent homes. Our kittens Mae, Tom and Claudia are all playful and ready to start a new life in a happy home. Mae's adoption is pending. Tom and Claudia are siblings. The kittens are all on track for a free spay or neuter through HSAC when they reach 6 months of age. All have a clean bill of health and up-to-date on age-appropriate Rabies and FVRCP vaccines and have tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids. All six cats are adorable and ready for your love.

Floppy and sweet Sarah will capture you with her piercing green eyes and her
lap-cat ways. She is a spayed adult female cat who has been front-declawed
and is used to a stable home life but needs a new permanent home.

This big boy with the big heart is Shadow, a 3 year old neutered adult male cat.
Shadow has been front-declawed and was an owner-surrender, so he knows
all about being a happy house pet. Shadow doesn't mind being picked up
and he loves to cuddle. Click to enlarge.

Peekaboo is beautiful and queenly with majestic stripes and an affectionate
personality. She is a 7 year old spayed and front-declawed female adult cat
who is used to a stable home. Won't you give her a new one?  Click to enlarge.

Mae is a cuddly and adorable tabby girl kitten, about 3.5 months old at this writing.
Mae's adoption is pending, so we are hopeful she will go to her happy permanent
home very soon.  Click to enlarge.

Tom is a male kitten, about 2.5 months old at this writing. Tom plays well with his
sister Claudia, and is a frisky and huggable boy. His distinctive high-contrast
dark and light stripes and wide-eyed gaze will charm you.  Click to enlarge.

Claudia is Tom's sister. She is a soft grey tabby and exhibits the usual frisky kitten
personality traits. Claudia is 2.5 months old at this writing, and she is cute and
cuddly and ready for a happy loving home.  Click to enlarge.
